 Gunjan Radio

Radio Gunjan is the goonj (echo) of a vibrant multiethnic community nestling in the lap of the majestic Dhauladhar Range of foothills of Himalayas. Radio Gunjan is an open platform for the people to meet, connect and help transform the community’s life.

Radio Gunjan is established in the 2017 started the operations on 1st August 2017 since than radio is catering to the targeted communities in the catchment area with 24 hours broadcasting in Hindi, Pahari, Gadyali(tribal) and Punjabi languages.

 

Thematic Focus : The Programs focus on empowering communities with their voice, dissemination of information in local dialects of Himachal Pradesh, creating a platform of literary activities, revival of folk music and oratory skill development.

 

Sigunature Programs : Good Morning Dharamshala, Tare Zaneen Pe, Ghar Sansar, Jagriti ek Sandesh, Inn De Apne Gappan (Gadyali Tribal Dialect) and Good Evening Dharmsala.

Innovation in Format :  Interviews, vox-pop and phone-ins

Partnership & Networking : Regional Resource & Training Centre-North Zonal ll of Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India; Zindagi Jindabaad (a state level network of positive people) INTACH Dharamshala Chapter; Himalayan Vision Foundation among others.
